Custom AI and  Quantum Models for Biotech Solutions

The average human makes 30,000 decisions in a day. The average AI model does that in a milisecond.   animals.

Defense and technology executives have long shared a commitment to automation and modernization that keeps them abreast of the best in AI and other labor-saving tools. But biomed, biopharma are  traditional, lab-oriented fields that sometimes will not even use virtual modeling. This was the initial learning curve and mindset that slowed pandemic anti-viral development. Progressing through the traditional clinical phases - on top of the  cruel and inhumane suffering this process imposes on helpless animals trapped in cages almost too small to turn around in - is SLOW. And involves HUMAN testing as well.

FDA, after the earliest failures with Remdesivir, banned human placebo-drug testing for Covid-19. And the European Union has had this topic - the inhumanity of drug testing and placebo trials, as well as animal testing - at the forefront of its national discussion for at least two years. This results from unacceptable levels of additional harm, including brain damage, painful nervous system failure, pain, and death in the human test subjects. (Conditions the drug companies have routinely ignored in their helpless animal subjects.)

What are our most significant pandemic achievements?

  • A deep dive into the Innate Immunity response to Covid-19 that provides insight into how the same natural immunity that protects almost all children worldwide (.002% mortality), may be replicated, triggered, or replenished in every human.

  • Obtaining permission from FDA to use AI-driven modeling and virtual findings  for pandemic Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)  application.  *This is a great leap and public service, from FDA. And, it means we are nearer to the day of retiring the old school cruelty and barbaric mistreatment of animal labs. Or human trials.

  • Designing and advancing, as early as March 2020, the world's first end-to-end component-based pandemic front-end drug therapeutic.  Minimum efficacy equivalent to the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

COVID-19, The real AI proving grounds

A Remdesiver Case Study

The diagram at right is a simplified snapshot of the actions of one of the earliest NIH-sponsored 'vaccines,' Remdesivir. This drug, designed by Gilead - which has one of the best medical ethics statements in the drug or health care industry - did not work for Covid-19 any better than it worked against Ebola.

AI modeling catches and predicts elements and trends the human mind might miss.

Both times that FDA approved Remdesivir - for Ebola and then for Covid19 - it 'missed' nuances like the drug's  ATP equation, which models the 'bonding' ability of a drug to the viral RNA being targeted. Vitamin D, in actuality, showed a much stronger ATP performance against both viruses, than did Remdesivir. Reflected in the FDA approval of Remdesivir with only a 3% to 8% efficacy against Covid'; and its withdrawal as an ebola treatment.

Our Specialized Covid-19 AI Modeling Framework

One of our first products released to US Health and Human Services and the US Department of Defense in February 2020, was a simple, molecular AI framework for modeling the interwined sub-architectures of the joint Covid-19 - Human Host joint, molecular architecture, as shown at right.

One of the biggest causes of ethnic or racial variance in Covid-19 infection and mortality rates is not - or not only - inequal access to proper medical care. It is instead the underlying genetic and biochemical differences in molecular architecure of the different races of humans. In particular:

  • Uptake and management of blood sugar;
  • Kidney function and resilience; and
  • Vitamin D absorption.

The role of Vitamin D in particular, is critical to Covid-19 survival - and skin color, not just latitude, impacts how much Vitamin D humans can absorb. But it is just a part of the puzzle: China has been at 0% Covid-19 mortality rates for months, as of spring 2021, yet these 1 billion, medium-skin-toned humans live at  one of the highest latitudes on earth. These are molecular nuances that AI urgently needs to solve for us, before our next winter onset.

As AI biotech comes of age, the best products will be those that are designed with a view to how our entire human systems are impacted. We call this a "molecular architecture." For the pandemic, we refer to the "Covid-19 Molecular Architecture."

 Our Biochemical System

The pathways and chemical reactions that take place in the body. Typically, new drug or vaccine R&D stops at understanding the drug's reaction at at this level.

Our Molecular System

The structure and relationships between the four main human molecules -  proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. A more granular view of the other two systems.

Our Genetic System

The relationship of genetic variants that are associated with both a clinical phenotype and disease causation. Our DNA, which includes RNA, both impacts and is impacted by the other two systems, as they respond to intruders or disease.
